The Black Intensity adjustment on the ZXP Series 1 and ZXP Series 3 printer controls the thermal transfer of the black monochrome panel in a color ribbon or a single color monochrome ribbon. Single color monochrome ribbons (Black, Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, and White) require different intensity levels to fully transfer the image to the card.
