Issue / QuestionHow to view the Network Configuration settings?
Applicable ToZPL compatible Zebra Printers
This applies to ZPL based printers only. EPL based printers are limited to printing the Print Server Configuration label, Telnet, or viewing the Print Servers settings via the web page. i.e. S4M or ZMx00 with E53 firmware.
Resolution / Answer

This procedure allows you to verify the printer network communication settings.

Details

NOTE External ZebraNet 10/100 settings cannot be viewed from the printer display on Link-OS printers such as the ZT or ZD Series Printers.

Unlike the Wired ZebraNet Print Servers, the ZebraNet Wireless Print Server does not have a test button.  Also, the TCP/IP settings will not print on the Printer's Configuration label.

There is now a Network Configuration label that lists both Wired and Wireless Settings.  If wireless is not present, it will list only Wired.

Front Panel LCD
Some settings are displayed through the Front Panel LCD.  Some of these settings will only be displayed if the printer can associate with a WLAN.

From the printer's LCD, choose List Network.

Via ZPL,  send the ~WL command to one of the Printer's ports.

There are also various settings that can be viewed from the LCD on the Printer's Front Panel.

NOTE The IP address, Default Gateway, and Subnet Mask will only be displayed on the LCD if the printer can associate with an AP.

The ZebraNet Wireless Print Server does also support the following options to view Configuration details:

Telnet:

Telnet to the IP address of the wireless print server.

From a command prompt type:  telnet x.x.x.x (where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the wireless print server)

You will be prompted for a password.  The default password is 1234.
Choose Option, 1. Show Configuration/Status

RE: Option 6
Configure Port: There is no option for Bi-Directional on the Wireless Print Server, since it does not use LPT port.

NOTE From telnet, you can only view and change TCP/IP settings, not 802.11x-related settings.

WebView:

Some of the pages in WebView have changed.  See the following link for details on  Web View for ZebraNet Wireless.
