Note: Excludes the non- ZPL language printers: 2824 Series, 2844 Series, S4M (E53 Firmware Version), ZM Series (E53 Firmware), 888 DD/TT Series, MZ Series, ZQ110, EM220, EM220II, All Kiosk (except KR403)

Use the SetGetDo (SGD) command "device.friendly_name" to set or view the printer Friendly Name on your Zebra Printer. Read More>>

The Friendly Name is limited to 17 characters.

To enable the Friendly Name you must reset the printer.

Link-OS Printers support the SGD command device.reset - Example: ! U1 setvar "device.reset" ""

Note: The default Friendly Name is the printer's Main Logic Board Serial Number.
