The LED on Printer Is Flashing Green but the Printer Is Not Printing

The status indicator light is located next to the feed button and indicates the current status of the printer.

 Flashing Green The printer is receiving data.

• As soon as all of the data has been received, the status LED will turn green and the printer will automatically resume operation. 

 Double Flash Green The printer is paused.

• Press the Feed button to resume printing. 

The Data LED flashing green indicates that data communication is in process. Check the article ZD200 Series Printer Status Indicator Light.

Sometimes, the printer may receive data but not printing. To solve this issue, follow these steps sequentially. 

Start with Step 1 and attempt to print a test page after each step. 

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

1. Clear the Print Spooler:

   • Clear the print queue and, if necessary, the print spooler.
   • Refer to the article Clearing the Windows Print Spooler for instructions.

2. Reboot the Printer:

   • Turn the printer off, wait for a few seconds, and turn it back on.

3. Cancel the Printer Buffer:

   • Send the command ~JA to clear the printer buffer.
   • Refer to the article: Cancelling All Format in the Printer Buffer for more details.

4. Reset the Printer:

   • Perform a factory reset on the printer.
   • Follow the steps outlined in the article ZD200 Series Feed Button Modes, G-series Feed Button Modes.

5. Firmware Update:

   • Check the printer’s firmware version and update it if needed.
   • Refer to the article Upgrading Zebra Printer Firmware for instructions.

Additional Steps (Driver-Related Issues):

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, the problem may be related to the printer driver.

1. Reinstall the Driver:

   • Uninstall the driver using Zebra Setup Utilities.
   • Restart your PC and reinstall the driver.

2. Verify Driver Settings:

   • Ensure the driver’s configuration matches the media type and printing mode you are using.
   • Refer to articles Configure or Modify Basic ZDesigner Driver V5 Settings, or Configure or Modify Basic ZDesigner Driver V10 or V8 Settings.

3. Test Printing:

   • If the test print from the driver is successful but the issue persists, investigate third-party applications that may be causing conflicts.
