Issue / QuestionUsing the Zebra Setup Utility (ZSU) to retrieve the printer "allcv" or super host status.
Applicable ToZebra ZPL Printers with X.14 and later firmware. Excluding: ZQ110, EM220, EM220II, and EPL Desktop Printers.
Resolution / Answer

The allcv command contains all available settings configured on a printer. These can be useful for troubleshooting or recording existing values.

This data is lengthy and is best captured using the Zebra Printer Setup Utility and then exported to a file.
The default data timeout setting on the Zebra Printer Setup Utility will not allow the complete configuration list to be captured so changing the timeout setting is required.

The timeout can then be lowered to the default value of 5, once this procedure has been completed.

Procedure:

  1. Launch the Zebra Printer setup utilities.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. In the Communication timeout section, increase the timeout interval to a value larger than 30 and click OK.

  1. Click Open communication with printer and copy the following command.
! U1 getvar "allcv"

NOTE Please note that the command must be followed by pressing Enter using the keyboard, otherwise the process will not work.

  1. Click Send to printer.
From the bottom window, the data will be displayed. The allcv report usually is finalized by the (" ") symbols.

  1. To export the data, click on File and click Export all received data and save the file accordingly.
