- Load cards into the input hopper.
- Check sensor status in “Advanced Settings”. The sensor should read “Present” when cards are loaded. Manually push the flag down and check the sensor status.

|
Card feeding failed
|
- Cards are stuck together in the input hopper.
- The back surface of the card is too slick for the card pick roller.
- The card pick roller is dirty.
- The entry/exit module is dirty.
- The card used is outside of the printer specification.
|
- Check the cards and reload them into the input hopper.
- Clean the printer.
- Clean pick roller with an alcohol swab.
- Check cleaning core on the ribbon.

|
Manual feed failed
|
- A card was inserted in the manual feed slot when it was not expected to be inserted.
|
- Open the input hopper, remove the stuck card, close the input hopper.

Input hopper open
|
- The input hopper cover is open.
- The input hopper cover open sensor has malfunctioned.
|
- Close the input hopper cover.
- Check sensor status in the “Advanced Settings”.

Card entrance jam
|
- Cards are stuck together in the input hopper.
- The card pick roller is dirty.
- The entry/exit module is dirty.
- The card used is outside of the printer specification.

- Check the cards and reload them into the input hopper.
- Clean the printer.
- Verify cards meet printer specifications.

7036 | Card jam in printer |
- There is an obstruction in the card path.
- The ribbon is stuck to the card.
- The card is slipping on the drive rollers.
- The card used is outside of the printer specification.
- Rear deck not installed correctly.

- Open the print cover, use the card jam wheel to move the stuck card, then close the print cover.
- Open the print cover, remove the stuck ribbon from the card, close the print cover.
- Clean the printer.
- Verify cards meet printer specification

|
Pusher plate jam
|
- There is an obstruction in the input hopper preventing the pusher plate from reaching the UP position.
- The pusher plate lift mechanism has malfunctioned.
|
- Remove the obstruction.
- Close the input hopper door.
- Check the status of the “Feeder Cover” sensor. If the feeder sensor malfunctioned (shows closed) the pusher plate will not move up.
- Can still use the printer in “Manual Feed” mode.
