Resolution / Answer

Overview

The ZM-Series printer supports multiple presentation modes based on a user's application and the options installed.
The typical functions are as follows:

Rewind Mode - Requires a Rewind Option and allows a user to rewind the labels on a Media Take Up spindle driven by a power rewind.
This is normally used for batch printing where the labels are applied or used remotely.
There is no backfeed in Rewind Mode.  Rewind Issues? ZM Series Printer Media Take-up Spindle Problems

Tear-Off Mode - The printer presents the label gap at the tear bar allowing a user to tear the labels off when they come to rest after printing.

Cutter Mode - Requires a Cutter Option Module mounted on the front of the printer.
In this mode the label is printed then cut for immediate use. Cutter Issues? ZM-Series Printer Cutter Information and Problem Solutions

Power Peel (Peel Mode) - Requires the Power Peel Option that includes the power rewind spindle.
A peel module bends the backing so the label separates and is detected by a peel sensor that holds printing until the label is taken.
The label liner is mounted on a liner take up spindle and assists peel by pulling on the liner. Power Peel Issues?

Value Peel (Peel Mode) -  Requires the Value Peel Option that includes the module mounted on the front of the printer.
The peel module bends the backing so the label separates and is detected by a peel sensor that holds printing until the label is taken.
The liner exits and is not rewound and is allowed to fall freely.

The media used can be on a Roll or Fanfold and is shown in the document below.
