Important:
- As explained in TechDocs - DataWedge, Do not rename the exported file or manually edit the database file contents. Doing so will result in errors and import failure.
Once the DataWedge is set up and configured as desired on your Zebra Android device, you can save the configurations as a single file and distribute it to other devices using StageNow or a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.
Exporting the DataWedge Configurations
Procedure:
- Launch DataWedge, and tap on the vertical ellipsis.
- Tap Settings.
- From the DataWedge Settings panel, tap Export.
The exported file datawedge.db should be sent to the directory below:
\enterprise\device\settings\datawedge\autoimport
When sending the file, to avoid the need for a reboot so that the file will be immediately consumed, you can send a script that will change the file permission to allow the read or write or execute rights:
execute_shell chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db
